I am excited to officially welcome you to the new boating season! A big thank you to all members who attended our AGM on the 4th of August. We look forward to another fantastic year together.

Whats Happening

I would first like to introduce the newly elected committee members who will be leading the club this season. We have just had our first committee meeting as a new team and I am confident that by working closely with this committee we can continue to improve our club and create a vibrant community for all members to enjoy. There are a number of new activities and planning underway already, just bare with us we wont be able to do everything at once.

Should you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the committee members or myself directly.

Special General Meeting

As we agreed at the AGM we will be hosting a Special General Meeting on Sunday, October 6th at 2pm to discuss the proposed changes to the SWBC constitution and consider the next steps.

Together, we'll explore how to navigate the transition from the 1908 Societies Act to the 2022 Act, as well as other important constitutional updates proposed by the committee and club members.

Let's make this a constructive and productive conversation focused on moving forward together.

Note: Revised copies of the proposed constitution will be available for review at the end of this month.
